Sebring 12H 2009
Sebring, FLA USA - March 21,2009
The 1st race of the 2009 American LeMans Series took place at the Sebring International Raceway. Ferrari, Audi, Porsche and Panoz among others were about to compete in the most challenging, technical automotive race.
The GT2 group had and exhilarating finish. After a strong fight to hold their 3rd place against a Flying Lizard Motor-sports Porsche, Panoz Racing, "team PTG" and their Esperante achieved the podium position. A tremendous start to the 2009 American LeMans Series. The result marked the best finish at Sebring for team PTG since a 2006 class victory.
EQUUS Automotive was pleased to assist and celebrate with team PTG's podium position. After the finish EQUUS/Panoz JV presented memento watches to drivers Dominik Farnbacher, Ian James and team PTG owner Tom Miner as a token of appreciation.
As a show of thanks and Ford GT designer Camilo Pardo presented Sebring founder Dr. Don Panoz with an autographed small model of the Ford GT.
This 3rd place finish in front of Porsche is an encouraging start to the 2009 American Le Mans Series (ALMS).
